The Nie courtyard was unusually still that morning, the kind of silence that presses against the chest and makes even seasoned cultivators hold their breath. He was also currently sitting in Lan Xichen’s office with a low cut shirt and a disarming smile as he asked, no begged, if there was any way at all Lan Xichen could help him with his grades.
