    Summary

He catches sight of Gillion again. The sun has dipped lower now, almost swallowed by the horizon, like it’s drowned in the sea itself. Somewhere behind them, the moon is rising, peering out into the world for the first time that night. Beautiful sights, both of them, but Chip doesn’t care to look at them, because Gillion.

There’s no words to describe it. The coiled feeling in his chest, all deep warmth and affection. In a way, it feels almost like looking at an art piece, the way Gillion’s beauty seems so tangible yet so perfect. Painted strokes that he could imagine, connecting his eyebrow to the lines of his nose, gentle flicks of teal in this shade and that to catch the perfect lighting along his cheekbone and under his eye. Chip wants to kiss it, run his thumb gently over every curve and brushstroke, feel the years ingrained into Gillion’s very skin.

    -OR-

Sunset and alcohol bring conversations and boldness. Chip and Gillion are far too in love to talk for long.
