Summary
Continues immediately after the events of season 5 episode 7. Basically the finale, but written by someone who actually cares about queer representation. Mike did NOT deserve that absolute assassination and I WILL be doing him right.
In other words, a fix-it fic based on my last byler theory on my YouTube channel (@i.dontknowhowtodance, the period is IMPORTANT), in which we get a Mike-central finale where byler is canon. I do want to clarify I only watched the finale once and I refuse to watch it again so I might get some plot points wrong but you guys don't care anyway because no one likes the finale.

Summary
It’s 10:15 on a Sunday morning, and Steve is on Eddie Munson’s couch.
More specifically: Steve is on Eddie Munson’s couch, in his boxer shorts and a shirt that's clearly been slept in, eating dry cereal out of the box and blinking slowly at the TV, which is currently playing WWF. His hair is more of a mess than Dustin has ever seen it outside of literal fights to the death. Eddie himself is nowhere to be seen.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Dustin demands, dropping his backpack just inside the door.

Summary
The thing was – of course Eddie knew who Steve Harrington was. Everyone on earth knew who Steve Harrington was.
Hard not to.
He just never expected his celebrity crush would want to come to HIS show, much less that he'd be so eager for a some little pink handcuffs.

I saw that video of Sabrina Carpenter arresting Joe Keery for Juno in Austin and my brain exploded.

Summary
Steve moves to Forest Hills because he promised Dustin, and soon thereafter promised himself, that he'd keep both an eye and in touch with Wayne Munson.
It may have been awkward at first, but he comes around to thinking of Wayne as a sort of stand-in dad. One he never really had. And through time, lots of long late night conversations, a few mishaps with the plumbing in his trailer, and some casseroles homemade, Steve comes to think very deeply about one late Eddie Munson.

Summary
Steve Harrington comes out as bisexual—though he doesn't have the word for it—in his late twenties, almost early thirties. He's tired of striking out with girls. But also he's come face to face with the fact that it's just okay to be this, to be him, to want this. Robin did it and Will did it and they're okay, their lives are normal and perfectly okay. They're happy.
Why does he wait until then?
