Geralt took off his mare’s bridle and removed her saddlebags, slinging them over his shoulder.
Air popped dangerously, a dramatic shift in pressure. His medallion started to rattle against his armour with the power of a landslide, approaching him at terminal velocity. Geralt had no time to even lift his hand to his sword.
“What in the-!”
Dark shadow passed his peripheral and then, nothing.

Geralt woke up to the ugliest mug he’d ever seen looking down upon him. Purple tentacles making up its lower face and raging dark orange eyes. Roiling pain as the tadpole worms through his eye socket into his brain where it settles with a shudder, becoming a part of him.(Alternatively: Geralt gets whisked away to Faerun on a nautoloid. He's in for an adventure of a lifetime.)

Charles Smith catches eyes of both brothers'. They assume it can never be, but Charles has been grappling with his feelings toward both of them.
