Summary
Gloria, no-name freight coordinator on the Terran homeworld, watched as the first Affini ships landed on Earth. The war was over. The weeds had won. The Accord had fallen.
Gloria doubted very much would change. She was simply trading one master for another. Once, she had been a scholar. She hoped that much would save her from the mines, or the protein slurry, or whatever they did to their subjugated races.
But she'd always wondered about the truth of the matter. She'd heard whispers from former Accord planets, transmissions on shipping frequencies speaking of a better life under the Compact.
She'd been around too long to believe life could be better.
Or, the story of an (already!) trans girl and her journey through the Affini Compact and the culture-shock inherent to such an undertaking.

Summary
Cloud Strife is a man exiled. The last repository of J-cells on the planet and thus Sephiroth's anchor by which he crawls back into life, gravely harming the planet with each resurrection.
The planet, for all her love and thankfulness, cannot keep him. The price is too high, the pain too great.
So, she does the only thing she can think to do to turn his exile into a kindness: she sends him somewhere better. Another Gaia, another time. Perhaps there, her golden champion could find the love he deserves and fulfill the dreams he had to put behind him for the planet's sake.
He only needed to conquer the demons she had already burdened him with.
An ASGCZ Soulmate fic featuring Cloud, the traumatized, time-travelling, markless hero of an alternate planet and Cloud, the lovesick trooper who has to deal with his idealized self appearing from thin air. -

Kaneki loved The Black Goat's Egg. Something about the metaphor of the son, the Egg, breaking free from his ignorance had always resonated with him, for all that the Egg became a killer too.
Perhaps there were kinder eggs to crack.
Kaneki was so tired of living in the shadows of his own life. The least he could do was try.
