Summary
He exists to be consumed. His body merely the vessel to ensure his consumption. The more skin he shows, the more his albums sell. The more depraved he acts on stage, the more seats get filled. Using his body to feed his fans, to sate them, as they drink more and more of him, draining him to the point of oblivion.
How long until nothing remains? How long until his body becomes a husk, squeezed dry and thrown into the trash? When that time comes, will he have to go back to the street? Begging for coins to buy food?
The hunger is a distant memory. Now he craves more expensive sustenance.
His door opens, no knock, and his manager comes into the room without waiting for an invitation.
Astarion trembles.
“Ah, my little Star,” comes a low, susurrous voice. Like dry leaves dragged on concrete. Dangerous. “Is my boy ready to perform?”
Astarion gulps. “Yes, Mr Szarr.”

Trapped between a Blade and a sharp place, Gale thought to himself as Wyll began to pull off his boots and parted his robes, whilst Astarion worked to undo his belt, kissing along the line of his neck - right above his thrumming pulse.“I thought you said my blood was sour, not safe for your delicate constitution?” He found himself questioning the vampire, the edge of wicked fangs teasing at his skin.
“Perhaps you’re something of an acquired taste,” Astarion purred, nipping playfully at his ear, “stop stalling now, these are coming off before I take a single sip.”
“Gods, you are beautiful…” Wyll’s voice was a reverent whisper, almost a prayer, as Gale’s clothes were gently but firmly removed. The warlock began to press soft kisses against his bare skin, beginning just above the ankle and working slowly towards his knee.

Astarion recognized that expression with an innate clarity, had seen it worn by his siblings countless times before.
I have a mole on my cheek, he thought, dazed, before razor-sharp fangs tore into the flesh of his neck and ripped — warm. Bursting with blood.

Two months after the brain falls, Baldur's Gate has picked up most of the pieces. The heroes that saved Faerûn have been there through most of it, helping the city get back on its feet. But plans change.
This is a story about falling in love.

As Gale spoke, he could feel the weight of his words sinking into the person sitting across from him. It was like casting a spell, but took no effort. Astarion had been staring hollowly into his goblet of blood, but at this he made a faintly interested noise. As if the rule were novel and he was considering the shape of it.
"Second, you will obey me in all things," said Gale. There didn't feel like there was any honest way of softening that. Astarion didn't make any sound at all.
"Third, do not leave the tower without permission." Astarion made another speculative noise, considering this one too. But then his shoulders hunched and his eyes skittered down, as if he didn't want to look at what was about to happen.
"Fourth," Gale said, and paused. He started with some context: "There is a tressym upstairs."
Astarion's head twitched. He looked up at Gale, blinking, startled. He had the air of someone who had been bracing for a blow and instead had just been handed a balloon animal.
"A what?" he asked.

Summary
Merit is one of my D&D characters, this is part of her backstory.
Merit grew up with their Uncle, tinkering and experimenting with magic. Merit’s parents were explorers and didn’t want to be tied down with a child, so after the “birthing experience” they tried to adventure with an infant but found it too constricting, so left Merit with a person they called “Uncle”. Uncle was an elder in the colony and accepted Merit aged 4 and he taught Merit about their heritage and passed on his skills. Merit neither resented nor loved their parents for leaving them.
Resources for the components for making magical items started to dwindle, so Merit left the colony to earn money and find resources.
After a few years exploring and adventuring, this is where her story starts.Series
