Summary
Five years ago Xiao Zhan ended his relationship with Wang Yibo. Not because he didn’t love him anymore but because their lives just wouldn’t match. During their relationship Xiao Zhan’s parents had always been fond of Yibo and now, five years into his life without him, his mama still invites Yibo to all important family celebrations. After such a long time howevery, Xiao Zhan thinks he has moved on with his life. Everything changes on his mama’s 60th birthday though, when he travels from Beijing to Chongqing only to find that this time Yibo has answered the invitation and is already waiting for his arrival.
The next days are spent with Xiao Zhan trying to navigate his mum’s matchmaking and family misunderstandings, while he struggles with feelings he thought he’d buried a long time ago. Yibo and Xiao Zhan both need to figure out what they want in this life and maybe they’ll find a way to make both of them happy along the way. -
