    Summary

His hair falls across his face as he makes a slow, half-hearted attempt to sit up. He can smell it now—a rich, heady scent that intoxicates his every sense. It smells of amber, of caramel, of butter melting on his skin. It smells of gooseberries, peonies, and sweet Lambrusco.

    It smells like Louis.

It is this realization that frees him from his own complacency, and Lestat feels it then—the sound of his own heart stopping to mimic that of another, the one beating confidently and freely at his side. His body is wrapped in a thick woolen blanket; beneath it slips the silk of a pajama that does not belong to him. He lies on pillows, feeling his feet dangle off the edge of a—couch?

“Good morning, sleeping beauty,” that voice, frankly far too amused, reaches him from the opposite couch, across a hideous slate coffee table.

    OR
Lestat collapses from an overdose during one of his concerts. Louis decides it's time to get him clean, whether he likes it or not.

    Summary

Lestat stumbles through a haze in which nothing is clear but ghosts. The drugs banish them, usually, but it isn't a perfect science—on an unlucky night, what yesterday swept them away resummons them tenfold.

    Tonight is an unlucky night.

    Summary

The concept of vacation was always an absurdity to Louis. What’s the point of taking time away from your life when that same life’s going to be there when you get back? Good, bad, anything, a couple weeks off won’t change it.

This, though, this … reset? Grace period? He doesn’t understand it, and yet it makes sense at a level where he doesn’t need to. There’s some deep part of him, younger than the rest of him, the vampire part, that’s purring contentedly at this chance to stop and rest and float amidst his new collection of companions.

diabolicule shenanigans on the Night Island. each chapter is a standalone, although these are set in the universe of tricycle race, so everyone is well-adjusted enough to function in an undead polycule or whatever.

So, it's 'you can run, but you can't hide,' — seriously?

No... no, you can't run, either.

Georgia decides the best solution to the 'Gil situation' is to just deal with it. Surely it can't be that hard; after all, she's done it before.

Turns out it's a lot harder with a support system.

(A S2E9 AU where Cynthia never blocked Gil's apartment application).

    Summary

You thought Marcus hit rock bottom at the end of season 2? That was just the warm-up.
Here's what was going on in his head when he told Ginny it wasn't a good idea to go to the dance with her. When he vandalized a classroom after kissing her. When he showed up at a clinic after her mom climbed through his bedroom window with an ankle monitor and told him he still loved her daughter. When he showed up to school every day with three shots of bourbon in his coffee mug.
Marcus Baker is functional. Shows up (sober enough). Talks (when required). Even smiles (convincingly enough).
    Then functional stops working.
A Ginny & Georgia novelization from Marcus's POV. Part 3: where "I don't have a problem" becomes the last lie before everything shatters.
