Summary
Before he can allow himself to feel bad for himself, Harry is coming back into the cave. He’s changed into his wolf form and hanging from his bloody maw is the largest bear pelt that Louis has ever seen.
The first thought that enters his mind is how. How did Harry manage to kill something so big when his best trackers can barely find scraps in these woods. The second thought that flies through his mind is:
Oh fuck.
Because Harry has just laid a pelt at his feet. There’s no mistaking what is happening any longer.
Harry has just presented Louis with an invitation for courtship.

“Why bother with a slutty Halloween costume when you’ve been known to act like a whore all year round?” Harry leans in to ask, flashing a fake smile at Louis when he pulls back.
Louis wants to punch him right in each dimple, but he resists the urge to make those craters on his face more fist-shaped. After all, he’d hate to spend Halloween weekend in jail.
“You have a lot to say about my costume, but what is it that you’re supposed to be?" Louis asks mockingly, gesturing down at Harry's outfit. "Elvis? You look ridiculous, but I guess you’re used to that. Wouldn't it have been easier for you to come dressed as a clown? Y'know, since you look like one without trying.”
When Louis and Harry run into each other at a Halloween party two months after their breakup, they’re reminded of how rude, infuriating, and utterly perfect for each other they are.

Harry feels his blood run cold. The heart that was thudding so loud and fast drops to his stomach, and his shoulders hunch in embarrassment.
"Excuse me?" Harry asks once he manages to gather himself and recover from the shock. He automatically steps back but since he's already squeezed in the corner, it doesn't do much to put any distance between them, "Who the fuck do you think you are?"
"Wha- No. Oh my god, I wouldn't- No," The man says as he realizes the misunderstanding, and wildly gestures to his chest, "I mean your- Your chest. Is leaking."
