Summary
Modern AU set primarily in the rural Southwestern US at a horse ranch/B&B/farm-to-table restaurant owned by Stede Bonnet and run by the usual crew.
Heavy focus on Oluwande's and Jim's POVs, with entries for other crew in the mix. There's some plot, but not so much that you couldn't dip in and read whatever interests you. A little fluff, a little angst. No smut but one sexy M-rated entry.

Summary
“Stede,” Ed asks, when they’re eating dinner with the rest of the crew.
“Mm-hmm?” Stede hums, focused downward on Ari, trying and failing to get him to eat a bit of bitter melon. He’s not going to win, Ed already knows. Kid’s got too strong a sweet tooth, even without teeth.
Offering Ari a tiny, squashed-up bit of his own orange, enjoying the grin and shriek of joy he gets when Ari snatches it up and shoves it into his mouth, Ed asks, “Am I doing a good job so far?”
“Of what, darling?” Stede asks, still only half-paying attention. To Ari, he says, “Well, you like that, don’t you?”
Ari shrieks again. Ed gives him a little bit more orange.
“Being a dad,” Ed clarifies.
Stede actually lifts his head, then, and seems to process what Ed’s said, now that he’s finished saying it. His light eyebrows lift, fine face crinkling, and he says, “Of course you are, Ed.”
or: seven tattoos ed got for his family, and one tattoo he got from his family!

Following a stressful but amicable divorce with his former wife Mary, Stede Bonnet decides to leave his old life behind for a summer. In search of inspiration to begin writing his first novel, he ends up in the small and charming coastal town of Queen’s Revenge. There, the urban legend of the Kraken and the peculiar townspeople are enough to inspire him. But writing inspiration is not all he finds. Edward Teach, the owner of the most notable restaurant in town, not only manages to capture Stede’s interest by being one of the few people Stede easily connects with, but by having a strange and puzzling past of his own.- Language:

Summary
Owning and operating a bar in District Seventeen wasn't exactly how Stede Bonnet pictured his mid-forties, but it's not like he has a lot to lose. As it turns out, District Seventeen is far more dangerous than the cushy house and world where he grew up and has lived most of his adult life. With his ragtag staff--including an Android, a cybernetically-enhanced former criminal, and a hacker--Stede is making the best of what he has.
Cue Blackbeard, the most dangerous mercenary in all of City Thirteen. Walking into Stede's bar and permanently altering the course of both their lives within the span of twenty minutes. Blackbeard has a lot to teach Stede about the city, about District Seventeen, and about being a mercenary. All under the jealous seething eye of Israel Hands, an Enforcer-turned-mercenary who would very much like to get rid of Stede Bonnet for Blackbeard's sake and his own.
This city might be a little too cold for Stede Bonnet, but at least he's not alone.
