The streets were silent as the dust settled. After minutes that seemed to stretch from hours to days, a victor had finally been declared with a tidal shockwave clearing the skies, broken by the green spark that shone through.
At least, that's what Hatsume Mei saw from her drone camera as she was escorted out from the flaming wreck that was the UA battle station she had helped design.
She would've normally been distraught at the sight of her baby destroyed, but her mind was set on Midoriya Izuku instead. It all seemed important, a small part of her mind thought, given how he had drawn her in. But it was all the start of a new chapter of her life, and a new version of everyone else involved.
