Summary

They quickly realize that the island holds secrets which may be beyond even their comprehension: declining worship, broken arrays, poisons, a cult leader, an atheist governor, inter-sect conflict, political instability, a vibrant red-light district, a mangrove monster, ghostly interventions, and a secret history which cannot remain buried forever....
Feng Xin knows that he and Mu Qing are something. But is it love, or is Mu Qing only curious about one thing? And can they clear up their misunderstandings, or is courting Mu Qing a bad idea from the start, doomed to fail like his last great love?
Mu Qing doesn't know what he wants. He knows that Feng Xin is attracted to him, but will Feng Xin stay by his side once he gets what he's after? Is it worth the risk of opening up, or is he putting his cultivation--and their current relationship--in danger?
