Saying I can’t concentrate would be an understatement.
I’ve been staring at the same math problem for who knows how long, the numbers blurring together until they stop meaning anything. My pencil hasn’t moved in minutes. Instead, my eyes keep drifting, again and again, back to Hirano, sitting across the table like he isn’t the entire reason my brain has shut down.

Summary
Sasaki and Miyano became a couple in high school, were boyfriends through college. They were together for years.
In their early twenties, they broke up.

Returning to his hometown after the death of his father, Miyano now owns a bookstore and surrounds himself with his love of reading. It was just a coincidence that he looks out of the window, spots a familiar orange head that belongs to his ex-boyfriend. Miyano learns that Sasaki has a daughter, a little girl he adores.
