Summary
While posing as a wealthy human noble to secure yet another trade deal on his uncle's behalf, Zhuzhi-lang happens to receive a slave among other items as compensation for the rudeness offered to him by some unimportant hotheaded heir or the other. Weren't humans so ridiculous, offering gifts for what amounted to basic conversation in the Demon Realm?
Shen Jiu is incredibly alarmed, then deeply confused when his new owner turns out to be a demon lord who believes in fair wages, vacation time, and free access to education for all his "employees". He even gets promoted to "assistant"! Slaves don't get promotions!

That he could stay in his own house and research by himself and go on all the trips he wants? Yeah, no, he's cool with that.

By the time Shane presented (at thirteen), he already had scouters interested (at nine), so there was really no time to be an omega. There still isn’t, there is only time for hockey, so he’s simply not — not in any way that matters. He takes his suppressants so he doesn’t stink and so he doesn’t go into heat, he hones his game, he doesn’t make time for anything else. But he thinks about being an omega all the time, and worry like that has a scent.
