Obi-Wan Kenobi has been recently knighted, and even more recently awarded the rank of Commander in the brand-new Grand Army of the Republic, established to bring peace to the galaxy by defeating the evil Separatists. He doesn't particularly want to be a Commander, and he especially doesn't want to be assigned to complete missions with the annoying, handsome, bull-headed young clone called Captain Cody.

“Yes, I see it,” Kenobi answers, his hand flickering to his lightsaber. “I think it might be best if we evacuated, Commander.”
“Yes, sir,” Cody agrees, raising his rifle even though he’s not sure blaster fire will do much against the ways of his general’s mysterious Force.
Or, with a little help from a mysterious artefact in a crumbling temple, Cody and Obi-Wan’s mutual pining saves the Republic.

Summary
The General pops out of the tent, scowling, and hurls a blanket- which Cody recognizes as one from the man's nest- sending a cloud of dust into the air when it lands. Skywalker winces, rubbing the back of his neck.
Cody decides, abruptly, that he is too tired for this and will be spending the night in the medical tent.
He is not quiet enough, obviously, because the General calls out, “Ah, Commander, you’re back! Apologies for all this,” he pauses to send another glare at his former Padawan, “I’ll be finished ridding the tent of foreign stench in a second, and the space will be all yours.”
It is then that Cody realizes his entire life is a fucking joke.
(or, Cody has never given much thought to things such as nesting and courting. This is, as it turns out, a mistake.)
