When Kara makes a stop by her office at L-Corp on Christmas Eve to pick up some extra work, she finds herself face to face with her elusive boss, Lena Luthor, when she steps into the elevator. The only two people at the office, Kara's excited to get home and enjoy the holidays with her family, where as Lena has nowhere to be, and no one to spend it with.
But when the power cuts out, they find themselves trapped inside the elevator, and a normally disastrous event turns into a stroke of luck for both of them as they're forced to lean on each other for company while they wait for help to come and rescue them.
Learning more about each other, it turns into a night that they won't be quick to forget about.

Summary
Kara has seen Lena in casual clothes. She’s seen her in crewneck sweaters, in jeans, and even with minimal makeup and messy hair. But she’s never seen her in yoga pants. She’s never had to try to keep her cool while Lena walks towards her in skin-tight black spandex and a loose off-the-shoulder t-shirt, her hair in a messy ponytail and not a stitch of makeup on her face. She looks clean and natural and absolutely, devastatingly beautiful.
Oh, this was a bad idea.
OR
Kara doesn’t technically need to work out. But, spending time with Lena at the gym isn’t all bad. Even if seeing her best friend in spandex workout clothes makes her break a new piece of equipment every week.

The phrase feel your body said in Kara’s voice rattles around in Lena’s head like a pinball machine, but she manages to shrug her sweater off and throw it somewhere behind them before she can second-guess herself. Kara is looking comfortable in a loose white t-shirt, and when she takes Lena by the waist and puts Lena’s hand on her shoulder the texture of it is light and soft.
“Let’s start from square one,” Kara says, so kindly that her next words take a few seconds to register in Lena’s brain. She tightens her grip on Lena’s waist, and says with full confidence:
“Dancing is a lot like sex.”

She couldn't help but feel drawn to this woman - a woman she divorced two years ago.
In these years, there was nothing more to their relationship than an occasional greeting in the hallway and a brush of hands when they met each week for Vi to pick up their child to fulfil their shared custody. Yet, their eyes met across the room, drawn to each other like magnets, as if they were destined to be together.
Cait tried to get over her, tried really hard. After that stupid fallout, when their relationship didn't survive the three-year crisis after they said all this stupid shit to each other after they hurt each other so badly it looked like the damage was irreparable. Like there was no going back.
Things were complicated, and the fact that they worked at the same fucking university didn't make it any easier. It, actually, just made things terribly complicated.
They both were too stubborn to reconcile as two adults with a child, so instead of being grown-ups and actually… talking, they didn't. It started a few weeks ago when, instead of untangling their feelings, reflecting and processing, instead of yelling at each other and pouring that pain out, they made out in a janitor's closet.
