“This is,” Regulus looks down at the man, sitting on the bed with James’s eyes and lips and jaw and hands, “It’s bizarre, it’s—”
And before Regulus can say yes or no, James’s lips are on his and his body doesn’t know the difference. He tastes just right, and his lips have just the right amount of heat. His wide hands cup the sides of his neck just like Regulus wants them to.
“Let go, Regulus.” James says, “For a few hours, just let yourself have what you want. Let yourself have James. Let yourself be happy, baby.”
The Wizarding War of 1975-1981 has ended and The Dark Lord has arisen victorious. People are slowly piecing the loose ends of their lives back together, but Regulus Black is struggling to make it from one day to the next.
After meeting a similarly floundering Remus Lupin during a chance encounter, Regulus takes him up on an offer of respite in the form of a mysterious man and his stash of polyjuice potions. Regulus sees what the encounters with the man have done to Remus, but Regulus will always go back for one more visit. Because an hour with James Potter is worth everything .
