Summary
"You thinkin' about me?" Kattigan's deep voice rumbles near his ear. Occtis' heart leaps out of his chest. He had been too caught up in his thoughts, and hadn't seen the older man stride up next to him.
Occtis panics for a moment, unsure how to respond to that question. Yes, he had been thinking about him. He cringes– no, he can't say that. Before he can think of some acceptable lie, Kattigan laughs.
"Just fucking with you. You should have seen your face!" Kattigan's laugh and words sound light, but his gaze is intense.
"Oh." Occtis says dumbly.
Or, Occtis and Kattigan break off from the group as they're walking back to the Fang house. They end up cuddling (and more) in a tree.

Occtis has developed a fascination with Julien's weaponry.
