Summary

With James out of the country, Peter stuck at home, and Remus trapped by the full moon, it’s Lily Evans (who hates his guts) that Sirius is forced to turn to for shelter and more advice than he could have bargained for.

“How am I here?” Regulus asked breathlessly, “I shouldn’t-”
“Kreacher.” Sirius said, “He found me and took me to you.”
Regulus's eyebrows furrowed, “That’s impossible.”
Sirius shrugged, and crossed his arms over his chest with a scowl, “It’s what happened.”
“I told him he wasn’t to tell any family-” Regulus started when realisation dawned on both their faces,
“I’m no longer a part of the noble and most ancient house of Black, Reg,” Sirius said, he had an odd expression on his face like he was surprised Regulus could have forgotten.
Kreacher finds a loophole that saves Regulus's life— and now everyone has to deal with the consequences.
