And even though they have to work together on a regular basis, there is not much sympathy between them. Castiel thinks Dean is too brash and reckless while Dean in return sees nothing more in the other man than a rude asshole with an obsessive love for books and a truly terrible fashion sense.
But fate clearly has a funny way of throwing these two together over and over again.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS ONE. The characterization of Castiel in particular, and also their sort-of enemies dynamic. The plot stands out among other fics as very creative and well-done. Amazing fic!

Summary
Castiel Novak is an undercover FBI agent working to take down a white collar criminal named Azazel, but Castiel finds himself way out of his depths when the case takes a dangerous turn and Azazel gets involved in an omega trafficking deal. With the help of an OPA agent named Dean, the Bureau and the Omega Protection Agency take down Azazel and his seller, Dick Roman.
As it turns out, that case wasn't the last Castiel would see of Dean Winchester, and it isn't long at all before Castiel finds himself falling in love with the fiery, strong-willed omega.

SHEEEESH the dom Castiel in this one 🫣 one of the hottest characterizations ever bro is intense and angelic. Loved the way it started so much. However, the last 40% I sort of lost interest. It became too fluffy for me and not very suspenseful. But that’s just a me preference—I always start to glaze through fics when they get fluffy and domestic after the angst. I’m here for the angst. It was extremely well-written overall!
