Sirius Black has been watching Hermione ever since she finished her masteries. The woman who Harry considered his sister in all things, had become a beautiful woman. Her intelligent, witty, kind and caring personality made her irrisistable to him. He'd always been considered a ladies man, but he knew if he wanted to pursue her he had to put those days behind him. So when she declared to the table at Ron Weasley's wedding that she had no plans to date anyone and focus on her career, he felt like she had issued him a personal challenge.
He asked her out on a date, but she refused, telling him to try again.
So he did, every time he saw her, it had almost become a game to them, a playful way they flirted. But she always said no, until he was beginning to give up hope, that there was a reason she kept denying him, she said yes.
He couldn't wait to show her he was serious about her.
