    Katsuki was quite possibly the most stubborn child to ever walk the planet earth. While his unwavering nature could cause issues, it had also saved his life several times. His determination was boundless when well directed, driving him to reach greater and greater heights.

    Problem was, this wasn’t a height Katsuki wanted to reach. He'd gotten up here accidentally and he didn’t know how to get down. Or if he even should get down.

     

    In which Katsuki’s kidnapping goes ever so slightly differently. His classmates don’t show up to help him escape, All-Might is caught up in fighting Nomu and as a result takes longer to reach Katsuki after All for One teleported him away. Little things add up, and Katsuki's path as a hero is forever altered, for better or for worse.

The moment between that figure stepping out of the fog and making their presence known is still, quiet. It spans the time it takes for Katsuki to take a quick breath.

    Masochist, Eijirou thinks and, in the second right before Katsuki chokes and focuses intensely on salvaging what's left of their midnight haul, he realizes that this might be a problem.

    Bakugou and Kirishima get hit by a quirk that lets them hear each others' thoughts. It goes much better (and much worse) than either of them expect.

    Aizawa sighed. “Not exactly. The quirk is a weird mix between a truth quirk and a prone to suggestion quirk, thanks to the boy's parents. It means you’ll be under the effects of a normal truth quirk, but you also won’t have the ability to keep yourselves from oversharing.”

    “So we’ll all be spouting fucking word vomit like Deku?!”

    “Yes, Bakugou. Fucking word vomit.”

    Class 1-A is hit by a very powerful truth quirk, and lots of things come out. Some things are quite harmless - quite the opposite, really - others are quite funny, and some open wounds that never really healed.
