Summary
It's a tradition to burn down a Woodland Mansion at every start of a season. Only this time it's not only inhabited by mindless mobs. There is actually an uncorrupted Player Allay there.
Scar and Cub don't really know how to feel about Grian when they help to rescue him. If they'd come just a few weeks later Grian would have become a Vex. And the reminder of what they lost confronts them with feelings they would have liked to forget.
Grian, on the other hand, really just wants to enjoy his newfound freedom and do what Allays are supposed to do - gathering things and causing mischief. Which is hard to do when you’ve been dropped into a foreign world and have no clue where your former crew has ended up. Not to mention the two very intriguing Vex, who give off very mixed signals. Not that Grian is any better at communication.

Grian was breathing heavily in the quiet, as though he had just run a marathon, or gotten the fright of his life; his face looked somewhere halfway between scared and furious. It was an ugly expression.
“What did you say?” Grian’s voice cracked horribly, both a hiss and a demand, and at the same time rising hysterically, “Where did you hear that name?!”

Summary
Mumbo didn’t full and truly panic until the moment that Grian passed out.
Concerned when he arrived to see his friend so clearly in pain? Sure. Upset to find out Grian had been hiding this from him for the entire season? Yeah. Nauseated when he saw the dark bruising and blood spread across Grian’s back? Yes. Bloody terrified when he thought Grian’s previous captors may have something to do with this? Absolutely.
But panic didn’t set in until Grian was slumped unconscious in his arms.

or, grian’s past with the watchers comes back to bite him in the form of his wings (and his mental state), mumbo wants to be a good friend, doc is traumatized, scar needs a break, xisuma and stress are just trying to keep them all alive, and pearl is… well, is she?

Summary
You know that your family misses the old Asriel. That's as obvious as the sun in the sky. But the boy you were died long ago, and you can't feel anything now, no matter how hard everyone tries to heal you. Therapy can't fix a missing soul. You're going to make sure that everyone understands that eventually.
The reality, of course, is never what you expect.

Halfway to the sofa, they stopped, making a small sound like a grumble of annoyance. For a second, the red glow in their eye grew faint.

It took him a second to register that the kid wasn't talking to him. Mostly 'cause Frisk didn't speak. To him. Or ever.Sans wakes up late into the night and sees something he shouldn't have.
