Summary
A chorus of igniting energies flood the Medbay as everyone activates their Gifts. Doyoung’s knees are bent, crackling green orbs in his hands. He braces himself, expecting the Captain to bust out of his confines at any moment and attack them all.
However, the Captain just lies there, staring up at the ceiling, panting for breath. After a few moments, he swallows, head turning to look at Doyoung, and it’s not the look of hatred he’s grown accustomed to over the years. It’s something he can’t explain, something far more disarming.
The Captain smiles, revealing a set of dimples as the hard features of his face melt into something soft and marshmallowy.
