An extension of the scene in Sharpe's Gold where Sharpe nearly bleeds to death before his shoulder wound is cauterized, told from Patrick Harper's point of view.
This is definitely a fic based on the book rather than the movie - so Teresa here is a newcomer. The overall scene and much of the dialogue is (of course) from Bernard Cornwell, but this fic was also massively inspired by the highly recommended works of TheNotQuiteChosenOne and Cerebrobullet, which are set in the same scene and are also in this collection.
