Sam's first full year of high school in one spot, one school, one horrifically small town. When John dropped him at Bobby's doorstep, Sam made several promises to himself. 1. He was leaving as soon as he could. 2. No drama- which meant no friends. and 3. Absolutely under no circumstances was he going to have any emotional investment in this town. But we all break promises and he finds them harder and harder to keep when a talkative Novak from down the street makes Sam his #1 target. Sometimes we can't outrun what's meant to be.

Sam stopped being surprised by much. He wasn't surprised when he almost tripped because of the force of the cough. He wasn't surprised when bloody yellow petals landed in his hands and he definitely wasn't surprised this was all caused by the elusive, and dead, Gabriel Novak. All of this had surprised him at some point but that was months ago. Sam stopped being surprised by his oncoming death a long time ago.

Fast zwei Jahre nachdem die Welt nicht endet, verliert Castiel seine Gnade – und dabei auch seine Stimme. Das ist der Anstoß für Geständnisse und Veränderungen.
