Summary
At some point during the morning, after the physical therapy session leaves him raw and with a renewed, albeit more focused, pain, he hears the unmistakable sound of Leon's car entering his driveway. Connor sighs, but warmth blooms in the middle of his gut. He hates how needy he gets when this kind of loss happens; he hates the idea of anyone seeing him like this, but Leon crosses over his walls as if they were not there, as if he were the only one that understood how weak they really are.
The car stops, and keys rattle on his door, bringing in the heavy steps until a body blocks the sunlight coming from the windows, a shadow looming over Connor's closed eyes.

Shane tilts his head. "Fair. Although, well… How many times did I speak about Ilya when we were together?"
She thinks about it. "…none."

Summary
He deserves a prize. He deserves to have Hollander between his legs, begging for him.
The problem with straying from their usual and allowed places to meet is that Ilya knows it's a hit or miss. By now and after all this time, he can only partially ascertain the nooks and crannies of Hollander's absurdly intricate mind. He likes routine and order; he doesn't like when they change the rules, especially if it comes unannounced, or from Ilya. Or both. He has no issues breaking his own, as long as it works for him. But he doesn't do that a lot, either.
Only when Ilya gets him good, desperate, when he kisses him as if the fucking world would end if they don't, does Hollander forget about rules.
What should have been a simple encounter with Hollander ends up being the moment where Ilya has to accept uncomfortable truths about his own desires and needs.
Might take him a while, though.

Summary
Silco is ready to die, but the universe seems to have other plans for him.
Transported to the body and life of another version of himself, Silco will be haunted by the differences with his past decisions and how they shaped the lives of the people that surrounded him, his own life, and even his death.
While trying to hide who he really is, he has to navigate his relationship with his daughter, so different from the one he knew, and a newly cautiously reestablished friendship with Vander. In the end, he might need to decide if he wants to keep his original path or he is able to face the reality of where it took him.

Vander’s heart automatically skips a beat; he knows, he hopes Silco won’t allow him to reach it without a toll, and Vander is very ready to pay it. They both know this dance by now. Even after the cold shower, Vander leaves the fights always drunk on adrenaline, and since they started fucking he feels driven to him the minute he’s out. This is bound to be a disaster: they are supposed to be working together. Silco is the one that actually has the patience to know which fights to pick; before they started working together, Vander lived way worse. He should worry about that, about not losing him as a friend and as a manager for a good fuck.
He should; he doesn’t.

In the six months they haven’t seen each other, Rex has received a crash course in the Force and how it works. He knows he will never be as skilled as Master Windu or Skywalker, but Master Plo Koon has taught him enough. Enough to be useful, to have his own platoon.
Cody seems wary, guarded, even from him, but Rex has learned enough to be able to pick up on his old friend’s energy; clear as a light in the middle of the night, something sharp and acidic, ready to sting.
Cody is still at attention, but his eyes betray him—he is curious about Rex.

“I heard you are looking for a pilot,” he says, sitting down.
Obi-Wan stays very quiet for long seconds. Then he seems to shake his head like he is imagining things, stops again for a minute and finally, finally, he looks at Anakin.
Anakin didn’t think it would feel so good to watch the shock on his old master’s face. His hair is peppered with white strands but they are the same smart eyes, the same freckles on his nose, the same curve to his mouth, that just asks for a kiss.
That mouth opens, closes. Recognition floods into his eyes and he chokes into his drink, but he looks around and stops himself just before he says Anakin’s name and blows his cover.
Or, five years after leaving the Jedi Order for good, Anakin finds out that Obi-Wan needs a pilot. He could ignore it, but maybe it's time to face old demons and to dig up some truths.

Rex is indeed asleep, face plastered into the pillow, curved into himself. Cody looks at him for a minute, falling into the same breathing rhythm without thinking about it. He rummages Rex’s drawer until he finds some blacks and steals them, knowing that Rex won’t mind because they have shared —everything, at this point.
