They flip your hands around again to look at your nails, and the shitty black nail polish your older brother bought for you ages ago, the drugstore brand that chips within days.
You could never paint your nails right. Maybe someone like Asriel or Noelle could do it, but you can't seem to. You always make a mess and get it all over your fingers when you try, and always get crap stuck in the polish from touching things too eagerly. They don't fail to notice this.
“Your manicure seems to suck bad.” They bluntly, reflexively state, before your shared expression turns to one of guilt as they look into the mirror apologetically. “Sorry, that was really mean. Shouldn’t have said that. I'm guessing you're a beginner?”-
The Soul thinks Kris is due for a better manicure.

He was pretty happy with things as they were, but his life turns on its head when he stumbles upon a child where he least expected it.
