Mel sighed again, no longer hiding her obviously uncomfortable mood. “When we arrived, I noticed an… old friend. One I had not seen in many years. I was not aware she would be attending tonight, nor who she would be attending with. It caught me off guard, and left me unsettled. I apologize for allowing it to affect me so much.”

Viktor scowls at her.
“Relinquish the flesh!” She exclaims, ignoring his annoyance; a joyful smile on her face.
Maybe he should've just died when he had the chance to.
Or: Death is supposed to be final, or so Viktor thought; because if it is, then why had he woken up in his childhood bedroom?
Or; after the finale, rather than dying, Viktor is spat out back in the past. Ridden with guilt, he decides to change the outcome of his fate. He helps people along the way.

Ever since Candlenights, things had been fucking fantastic. The IPRE program was going great, Taako was actually goddamn happy for once, they hadn't heard hide nor hair of their asshole relatives since their grand exit, and she was engaged to Barry fucking Bluejeans. Realistically, this should be the happiest Lup had ever been in her entire life.
Except engaged meant wedding, which meant wedding planning. Lup had no earthly idea what she was doing.
Maybe if she sent the invitations out in wingdings, no one would show up.

Taako and Lup have devised a plan to get back at their shitty family for the way they had treated them as children, as well as put an end to the incoming letters now that the twins have gained a little bit of notoriety. They're going to go back home for Candlenights, and it's going to be the worst Candlenights anyone there has ever had.
Lup's bringing Barry, because nothing's better than showing up with a respectable looking dude only for said dude to start pulling out the formaldehyde pig brains. Taako needs something like that too.
So, why not ask the cute guy in his drama class who does bad accents when he gets nervous if he's free over break?
