Mike cuts him off, sharp. “If Will didn’t tell you, then I’m not telling you.”

Will looked up to meet Mike’s eyes. They were misty, a little afraid. “Because I’m hurting you.” Will choked out and he only realized then that he was crying. Let this be over. Let it have never happened. And then the words fell out of his mouth before he could stop them. “Like he hurt me.”

Summary
Physical touch is a difficult concept for him, and Will has spent an excruciating amount of time trying to comprehend his own relationship to it.
Flipping as quickly as a light switch, his overbearing amount of desperation to seek out the touch he knows to be safe transforms into reluctance to receive even an ounce of it. One day, Will craves the physical touch like a starving man, and on the next, he despises it, perceives any skin-to-skin contact to be burning him alive.
Certain horrifying memories continuously torment Will, especially during this time of the year. However, no matter how much of a burden Will perceives himself to be, Mike never hesitates to help him through it all.
