“There’s nothing wrong with your legs, Mike,” Mom says, to Mike’s complete bafflement.
“Wh—but, they hurt!” That makes no sense!
“Well, you’re a growing boy,” she says slowly, “and as you grow taller, you’ll have growing pains. Right now, your legs must be growing a lot. Maybe if we measure you tomorrow, you’ll be taller.”
“But… but… how do I make them stop hurting if I’m just growing?” Mike wonders aloud. He’s stumped. He didn’t know it could hurt this much to grow.
Mike wakes up one morning with growing pains. He searches for the one who can provide the most relief by going on a journey of asking for help.
