The mage slowly walks over to stand in front of the Hexcorerized fossil of his own Jayce and gazes down at the silent form solemnly. He reaches out and brushes the backs of his fingers down one rough stone cheek and lets out a shuddery breath.
“Oh, Jayce…I have failed again.”
He lets his hand fall limply to his side and stands before Jayce for a long moment, unmoving and silent. Nearly no more alive than the fossilized remains of the citizens of Piltover. A strong gust of wind travels over the peaceful grove as the storm raging at its edges grows stronger with the tumult of his pain. It makes the plants sway violently and the glassy butterflies are tossed around on the eddies. Only his powers have kept this little oasis from being consumed by the storm. The hope he held in his heart was enough to keep Jayce’s form safe. But that hope is dwindling. Every time he tries to alter the past to save the future and fails, he feels another piece of that hope wither and die on the vine.Mage Viktor reunites with his version of Jayce.

Summary
Legends say that some alphas and omegas are bound before birth, but they always end in tragedy. Jayce was marked with a teardrop shaped birthmark, signaling that he’s one of the cursed. Due to this, he was kept isolated and overprotected, told that bonding would destroy him.
Viktor, a wandering alchemist from Zaun, was summoned to consult on a matter that plagued Piltover. He too held a cursed mark, a single rune in the shape of sickle upon the same inner wrist where Jayce’s is. When the two of them meet, they both feel the unmistakable jolt of the bond.
But Viktor knows the curse, he’s seen it before with others, and knows exactly what will happen if they fall in love. Still…neither of them can stay away.

Things go a little differently. Viktor, a professor known for his harsh grading and dry wit, shocks the highest ranks of the Academy by sticking his neck out for one Jayce Talis. After unsuccessfully trying for years to affect change, he sees the opportunity that ‘Hextech’ affords. And, much to his chagrin, the face and mind behind it.
Jayce is everything he’s sworn off: young, handsome, and an alpha. When his constant presence and easy affections reawaken old urges, Viktor finds himself torn clean between acting sensible and digging his teeth in deep.
