At first, Galinda is happy to pretend that she's exactly the kind of brainless socialite that Elphaba thinks she is. But as first impressions fizzle out and she realizes the two of them are more alike than she could ever have suspected, Elphaba threatens to send Galinda’s carefully constructed facade spiraling and forces her to consider another path: one where they put their own happiness first, whatever the consequences.
