Summary
Empty streets without alive bodies were echoing the mechanic sounds of cheering. The storm had finally calmed down; the snow was falling down slow on those who embraced it. Deviancy did not come without a price and it was paid, most thought. Although nobody, almost nobody knew this was just the beginning of a war, a battle even. The android that was programmed to hunt down deviants was standing on the platform alongside other deviant leaders. His partner however, was nowhere to be seen. The android thought to himself, “Maybe we will see each other again. Hopefully.”
This was it. This was his first thought, the first time he felt something. He felt hope.

“Being covered in diamonds, pearls in your hair, but I really can’t imagine you looking any more beautiful than you do right now.”
“Fuck, Stede that’s fucking lovely but I was thinking more along the lines of some new welts on my back and ass. You can break the skin, I don't mind.” He bats his lashes.
“Ed.” Stede gasps. “Shall I beat you black and blue on our wedding night?”
“Oh fuck, Stede.” Ed grinds up against the mattress. “That sounds so fucking hot.”

Started out as pirate smut, turned into a sprawling epic about gender identity, healthy relationships, found family, trauma resolution and anti-colonialism (and pirate porn, so much pirate porn.)
One third backstory, one third plot, one third pirates fucking through a wide variety of kinks, and 100% pure fluff between them.

Summary
Though his first attempt at hiking the Appalachian Trail in 1998 was ultimately a failure, Blackbeard's blog about the adventure was not. Now world-renowned as a thru-hiking influencer (don't call him that), Ed is only missing completion of the AT to round out the Hiking Triple Crown. What better time to try again than on the 25th anniversary of his failure? His manager/ editor/ moderator/ boyfriend Izzy is along for the ride, although he's not going to go quietly after what happened last time. No matter what Edward thinks, Izzy knows he can't simply re-do the events of his past.
Freshly divorced, Stede Bonnet takes to the trail the same week, looking for a new lease on life. He's inexperienced, sure, and maybe he lacks in physical fitness, but what he does have is gumption. Gumption, and a few dozen pounds of the most expensive new hiking gear on the market. That can get him all the way to Maine, right?
When their hikes collide, sparks will fly whether they like it or not, and their past on the trail may come back to haunt Ed and Izzy in a more literal sense than they ever imagined.
