Aizawa had hyped up this one day for about three weeks, one day of pure quirk training madness that would result in at least twelve injuries per person and three days of recovery afterwards.
But he’s sick. He’s not at the top of his game, but he’s going to fight it.It doesn’t work.

Summary
" "Hey... Uh, you've been calling me every now and then. I'm pretty sure this is the wrong number, I just didn't want to bother you about it. I... I've been letting you send those voicemails because y'know... I felt like it would do you some good. But the voicemails are taking up space in my phone, and I know this is awkward because you're just some random guy, but just wanted to let you know. Have a good day!"
He called this number, this exact number, religiously. Although it never was planned, he just called when things got to be too much; he just called when he needed to pretend things were okay. He had called, begging the universe to let him hear his voice, and he never did. So why? Why, after three years, did someone suddenly answer? "
This is an aged-up, quirkless AU! It begins when our battle-hardened detective, Katsuki Bakugou, mourns by calling his partner's phone as a way to cope every now and then. But one day someone answers, it's not his deceased partner, but some bubbly idiot who has, apparently, been receiving these hundreds of messages. The last thing Katsuki wanted was someone listening to him pour his heart out, to a stranger no less. Now the guy has the gall to get attached to him.

Summary
Shouto abruptly returned his attention to the road, the tiredness that had ebbed from seeing Katsuki creeping back with a soreness behind his eyes. He scrunched his nose, trying to itch away the stuffiness, cleared his throat, and said in a best attempt at his trademark monotone.
“Pop quiz: so you’ve broken out of a hospital. Where’s the first place you go?”
There was no hesitation in Katsuki’s response.
“You know that street vendor down the block from my old high school?”
Shouto hummed an affirmative. He was very familiar with the only food joint in the entire city that Katsuki had determined made their food ‘spicy enough’ upon request. It was a level of spicy Shouto was personally affronted by. He thought no normal human being could ever consume food that aggressive, on a regular basis, and not succumb to it.
Katsuki, though, had never been classified as ‘normal,’ and the only thing that could take him out was a greater power above or an extremely aggressive terminal illness.
Katsuki has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and there is nothing Shouto can do but stay by his side.
This is a story about Love, and Grief, and Recovery.
