    Summary

A veritable manor by the lakeside, complete with boats and a beach and floats for the water. A summer season, something to write postcards and scrapbook pages about. Something to reminisce on years in the future, someday in the far off future when she was asked about her college years. But the real selling point had been Elphaba, of course it had.

or, the friend group takes a trip to Fiyero’s summer house near the Great Kells. Galinda is entirely smitten. Excessively indulgent gelphie summer vacation fluff in honor of the season!

Had Elphaba's eyes always held those flecks of gold - like stolen sunshine trapped in emeralds? Had her hair always spilled like midnight silk, woven by angels under the moonlight? Had her lips always curved with that delicious disdain? Sweet Oz, was she always this... perfect?

    Summary

Elphaba is a brilliant but reclusive scholar who also happens to be the runaway Crown Princess of Oz, hiding from her father's political machinations under the alias "E. Thropp, PhD Candidate." When her childhood best friend Fiyero Tigelaar drags her to Vinkus for his birthday, things go horrifyingly right.

Fiyero’s motto? "You think too much, Fabala. Sometimes you just have to live."

And live she did—until she woke up married to Glinda Upland, the dazzling socialite daughter of a business empire mogul.

    Summary

In a worn envelope in her purse are the mementos she has from the season – address cards for each of the Peaches, phone numbers scribbled on napkins, the game card Greta kissed, a handful of photos, newspaper clippings, a ticket stub. She looks at them at night sometimes, spreads them all out on her beige bedspread and conjures the season back in muted color and vivid feeling. Sometimes, she thinks about what it felt like to win a game and know the world belonged to them, if only for a moment. Sometimes, she thinks about what it was like to hold Greta’s hand, before the world fell apart.

It’s two weeks before Carson realizes she’s been living half-awake this whole time. If you were going to moon this much, you should have just followed her to New York. Yes, Carson should have followed Greta to New York. But she didn’t. She stayed, instead.

or: carson travels in the off season, finds a little of herself, and makes her way home to greta.
