Zhou Zishu adjusted his grip on Chengling and followed the sound of A-Xiang's voice until he was standing over them: Wen Kexing, who had dropped his bags and hunkered down right where he was standing, making himself a living stumbling block for everyone around, and A-Xiang, who had thrown her seven-year-old self into his arms with all the abandon of a wave crashing against a cliffside.
“Hi, spider monkey.”
Wen Kexing tugged his face mask down to his chin and smacked a noisy kiss to her cheek, causing her to squirm and giggle.
“Did you miss baba?”
When she nodded against his neck, his face assumed a satisfied expression.
Wen Kexing raised his eyes.
Zhou Zishu met his gaze, biting the inside of his cheek to hold back a goofy grin.

Summary
Wen Kexing stopped at the edge of the hallway and rubbed the back of his ear awkwardly. A year has passed since they last saw each other in person. Being relaxed around Zhou Zishu always takes him some getting used to after time spent apart. It was a problem unique to just him though, because the moment Zhou Zishu saw Wen Kexing, he clicked his tongue and lifted his chin in faux-annoyance. “Tsk, what are you doing standing there like a piece of wood?”
He opened his arms wide. Wen Kexing obediently shuffled forwards into a hug, finding his voice to call him. “Ge.”
