"We can't undo it," the tech said, slightly desperate. "Its memory has been purged, as is standard practice after a casualty incident. The files aren't saved, they're deleted."
Oh. They were talking about my memory.
"What's going on?" Ratthi said. Pin Lee turned to look at him, then me. Her eyes softened, despite the rest of her staying angry. So she also recognized me. Great.
"Do you know who we are?" she asked me.
"No," I said. SecUnits are not supposed to read the newsfeeds, so that's the answer she and the tech would be expecting. "I have no information on the last seven hundred and twenty hours."
Ratthi made a sound like he'd been punched. Pin Lee's mouth set into a grim line. She turned back to the tech.
"I know there are ways to recover deleted files," she said. "Recover them."
After the events of All Systems Red, Murderbot wakes up in the company cubicle with no memory of the survey with the PresAux team.

Ed had swung up onto the deck, heart pounding, hands shaking with the fear he hadn't yet learned how to control, ducked under the business end of a bayonet, stabbed someone in the thigh, and walked face-first into the business end of a pistol. He'd looked at the guy holding it and noticed, in that slow, syrupy moment of panic, that the guy didn't even look much older than Ed. His beard was a patchy and uneven brown and his eyes were so wide with fear you could see the whites all the way around them. Then the gun went off, and everything went black.
And he woke up.

Summary
When they get back to the ship, Stede asks Ed to wait in the dinghy and climbs up the ladder to ask the crew if Ed can stay. Ed waits. He hadn’t really expected to get this far anyways. He certainly hadn’t expected Stede to follow him off the ship, or invite him back, or talk to the crew on his behalf. In between the gentle slap of the waves against the hull of the ship, he can hear that conversation happening above him, a quiet muttering that sits just on the edge of his hearing.
He should probably care about what they’re saying, should probably hoist himself up the ladder a bit to suss out who’s in favor and who’s against, determine what kind of situation he’s facing by climbing right back on board with the crew that had just mutinied against him, calculate his odds of surviving through the night. He should probably do all of that.
It sounds exhausting.
Ed gets back on the Revenge and everything that's happened in the last few days catches up to him. Stede does his best to help him through it.

Room checked, he turns back to Jack, who is swaying gently in the middle of the room with a half-empty bottle of whiskey in one hand, looking Ed lazily up and down like he’d rather drink him.
“Give me that,” Ed says. He takes the bottle, swallows a mouthful, passes it back. “You have it?”
“It’s in my bunk,” Jack says, stepping towards him. Ed steps back.
“Well then go fucking get it,” he says.
“What if we tried without?” Jack says.
“What if I bit your dick off?”
Jack likes this little dance, Ed knows. Likes finding the lines people have drawn in the sand and sticking a toe across just to see what they’ll do. Most people don’t know how to handle it. They get flustered, get angry. They stomp off and Jack has a nice little laugh as they leave.

It figured that the moment Stede's libido decided to rear its head, he’d be sharing a room.
When Stede finds himself fantasizing about Ed and desperate for relief, he's pleased to discover that Ed is fast asleep, which means Stede can basically go to town as long as he keeps himself reasonably quiet.
Ed is not fast asleep. Ed is not even a little bit asleep at all. Ed is listening to Stede pant and whisper his name, and he's losing his entire fucking mind about it.
