Jiang Cheng stared in disbelief at the physician.
"Excuse me?"
The back of someone's hand was placed on his forehead. His eyes trailed to the owner and he nearly choked. Lan Wangji!
Or maybe not Lan Wangji? The man looked a lot younger... And he was staring at him with furrowed eyebrows.
"..."
"Wanyin, are you okay."
No. No, he was not okay.
Lan Wangji rose to his feet. "I'll get uncle."
Now Jiang Cheng wants to throw up.

"Shixiong! You are finally awake! Doctor, doctor, Huan-ge is awake!”
"Wuxian...? Is that you? What's going on?"

"Heartbroken, Not by Sword, Eyes Weeping, Not by Dust"Under the stress of the Sunshot Campaign, Wèi Wúxiàn and Jiāng Chéng marry to rectify a lapse, although for Wèi Wúxiàn he couldn’t imagine doing it with anyone else. They make the best of it, and Wèi Wúxiàn is sure they can make it work, until the new life they made doesn’t come into the world alive.
Now, instead of returning to the hard-won Lotus Pier in triumph, they return with a tiny box of ashes and a pressure to move on. Doing so seems to require making another new life, so they do, but neither of them is prepare for how much the loss of their first child will impact everything about the second.
