Bilbo has had quite enough of being besieged inside the Lonely Mountain and his friend Thorin's behaviour is getting more concerning by the minute. That is why he took the Arkenstone, it was only to prevent a battle, and he would rather not have done it. Perhaps he wouldn't have done it if Gandalf had been around. But even under these most dire circumstances, Bilbo could not find him. But as it happened, he did find someone else: a witch named Esmeralda Weatherwax. And she wants to have a little chat with Thorin Oakenshield.
