Summary
After his resounding success in securing Doctor Bashir as a means of passing information along to the new station owners, Garak is considering how best to secure him for more personal matters. The way it will play out is hardly clear-cut. Yes, Doctor Bashir is a military officer, and Garak is a disgraced and stateless exile, but the doctor is young and has an air of innocent naivety about him. The situation is clearly on a knife’s edge. Unexpected resolution comes in the form of Bashir’s visit to his quarters late in the evening and a rather blunt proposition. Or, so it seems to Garak in any case.
