Keith nods. “Okay.”
“You’re Keith.” He points at Keith directly now as he looks at him. “You’re the Red Paladin. You’re my friend and my teammate. I’d kick dream-Lance’s butt if I could, you know.”
Keith takes a seat next to Lance with a chuckle. “Thanks, I guess.”
Both Keith and Lance have nightmares. Luckily, they can go to each other for help.

“I already told you, I don’t have hypothermia,” Lance says. “I’m okay. I’m just really, really cold.”
Keith raises an eyebrow. “What do you think hypothermia is?”
“Oh, don’t get all technical. I—”
His body betrays him by breaking out into another fit of shivers, so violent they leave him dizzy, his vision dark at the edges.
It knocks most of the fight out of him, and he sits there for a moment, feeling miserable and pathetic.
“Look,” Keith says, his voice low and infuriatingly kind, “you can drop the act. I know you. I can tell when you’re not okay.”
Lance stares at him, feeling exposed and cut to the bone.
“I could get better on my own,” he says.
“You won’t,” Keith tells him bluntly. “Not unless you let me help you.”

Getting stranded in a cave during a blizzard is bad. Having to rely on Keith Kogane for warmth is… complicated. Lance survives the night. Figuring out what it meant is another story.

He wants to swallow it whole, to live in it forever. “I know I’ve done it on purpose before,” K adds in a mumble, “but this time I swear it wasn’t.”

Summary
Over time, Fig finds herself drinking just a little too much after each show, leaning just a little too far into Gorgug’s space. Gorgug, of course, lets her, and acts like he doesn’t notice when Fig touches his arm one too many times. Or when their knees bump into each other for the sixth time in a row. Or when Fig is clearly acting drunker than she is (or getting drunker than she should) as an excuse to lean into him while they walk. He even finds himself looking forward to it. (Like any good friend would.)
(Fig and Gorgug move to Bastion City (separately) and rediscover how much they mean to each other.)
