You're a weak, down-on-your-luck Marine who doesn't really care about justice in particular or anything. You mostly joined the World Government for the paycheck, really. And that amazing health insurance they gave out, of course. And if you could do small good deeds every now and then while at it, great!
But what did that mean, exactly? Well, it meant you did your best to avoid pirates and keep your head low until you could retire for the most part. But, as fate would have it, you always found yourself facing one. Especially the ones who could kill you with their bare hands, unfortunately.
