He watches as Shouyou fidgets with the ends of his sleeves, his face turning away to observe the calm of the sea as the water drifts back and forth from the shore. His face is illuminated by the moonlight, the backdrop of the street lamps from the waterfront blanketing his bright hair, shining like the sun in the dark of night.
Shouyou turns to face him, licking his lips in a nervous habit, and settles it into a small smile. Atsumu can’t help the upward tug on his own as he meets the other’s gaze.
“Atsumu-san,” Shouyou says, “I’m going to Brazil.”
Of falling in love too early and falling in love too late.
