Sirius doesn’t bother containing his laugh, “Cutting straight to it then?”
Remus shrugs back. “Might as well.” He pauses. “And it always leads to that with us, doesn’t it?
“Right, well.” Remus could tell Sirius was mulling the question over. “Honestly?”
“Honestly.”
Finally, Sirius says in a smug voice, “I think he fucks me better than anyone else.”
Remus wants to kiss the arrogance out of him.
“Really? Funny you used to say that about me.”
“Someone was bound to dethrone you eventually…I mean last time we hooked up was…I can’t even remember when.”
5 months, 13 days, Remus wants to say, but he doesn’t. Instead he asks with as straight of a face as possible, “So, what does he do that made him get the top spot?”

OR, Remus and Sirius were in a relationship years ago and have spent the years not offically together still hooking up (like idiots). Now, they're just two friends catching up over drinks. Maybe Sirius has someone new, but that doesn't drive Remus crazy at all. At. All.

This shift doesn’t scare him. If anything, it feels right; in rebuilding each other during this shitshow, some bits and pieces got mixed up and they became connected in ways that they hadn’t been before. It all just slotted into place.
