Summary
Everything is silent and still. This region has been that way for two centuries, keeping out all but the most persistent of wanderers, shielding itself from the outside since the last time abundant blood was spilled and fed the enchantment that ensures that the dreadful creature at its heart remains asleep.
The soil yearns for the call of its master, the corruption spreads, and the living beings that still inhabit this place keep on living, subdued, waiting. There's an air of anticipation: it's almost the promised time once again.

"Are you ready?"Soft moonlight enters the room through two grand windows and illuminates the ethereal being standing in the doorway, his hand stretched out towards Owen. Mesmerizing crimson eyes gaze at brown ones, dimmed from sickness. There's a familiar fond smile on Louis's face, framed by a halo of white hair that truly makes him look like an angel, a very fitting comparison given the situation, the salvation he was about to deliver.

Summary
A long time ago, in a land far far away, two brothers with special abilities formed two kingdoms: Idris and Edom. Both lived in peace, growing together, until a selfish, hateful king committed a terrible crime that sent both into war. When they finally removed him from Idris's throne, the relationship between both was rocky, only aided by peace agreements. It's up to two young men (one not so, but looking like it) to unite the kingdoms again in prosperity as they rise to become the rulers of both.

A canon 'rewrite'/divergent series that begins with Louis surviving. 200 years later, when everyone arrives (or awakens) in Oakhurst, it follows Scott's formation of a new coven, with the shenanigans that ensue, and with a lot more emphasis on ships and on vampire childe/sire bond instincts.
