Summary
Despite the terrifying events after the 3rd Task, Harry Potter is left at his relatives's home with even less contact than usual. A surprise appearance of dementors leads Harry's accidental magic to apparate him all the way to Forks, Washington where he meets the Cullen family. While Harry is introduced to the possibility of a new life, back in Britain Albus Dumbledore will stop at nothing to find the Chosen One and bring him back to face Voldemort.
In this fanfic, canon from both stories are shifted so that this story is happening in 2001. This means that all HP events have moved forward 6 years, and Twilight events have moved backward approximately 6 as well. (I chose 2001 so that the dates fell on the same days of the week for HP since Twilight's dates were much more vague. To anyone else who obsesses over this sort of thing, you're welcome :) )

Stiles travels for work for the first time since Derek and Eli moved in. One highly stressful week later in which Derek slowly drives himself (and baby Eli) insane, torn between knowing that Stiles can take care of himself and has a good team and wanting to protect Stiles anyway, they finally address the little life they've been building together. Kind of.

Derek felt better equipped now. Stiles’ help had given him enough breathing room to re-orient himself and really accept his new reality as a father. Derek was beyond grateful, but he couldn’t impose anymore.
Stiles, naturally, thought this was incredibly stupid.
“You know I’m not asking you to leave, right?” he questioned indignantly, spoon of mashed potatoes hovering, forgotten, between his plate and his mouth. “Like, have I given any indication that I want you to get out? Truly, because if so, I need to know so I can stop doing it.”
“No, of course not,” Derek said hastily, abandoning his own spoonful of chili (bless Stiles for his somewhat unconventional food combinations that always turned out to be delicious). “I just – it’s time, you know? I really, really appreciate all your help, really, I don’t know how I would have gotten through this first stage without you. But I’ve taken up enough of your time and space.”
Stiles stared at him, clearly unimpressed. “So that’s what this is about.”

“Derek,” Stiles said, heartbeat ratcheting up in surprise. “You…oh my God, what – are you – Jesus, come here dude!” And really, what else was Derek supposed to do except wrap his free arm around Stiles’ back when he lurched straight into Derek’s body and bury his face in Stiles’ hair?
The embrace lasted two, three seconds. Then Elijah gurgled softly, a surefire sign that he was about to wake up and start wailing.
“Holy shit,” Stiles whispered, pulling back and staring at the baby in Derek’s arms. “What the – what?”
“Hi,” Derek said breathlessly.
“Hi,” Stiles answered, still watching Elijah open his eyes and screw up his face in preparation to give voice to his fury. “You have a baby.”
“Please help,” Derek said desperately. When Elijah started crying, albeit a little quieter than normal, Derek almost joined in.
