A normal budget meeting goes off track when one of Zuko's advisors disagrees with his decision to create refugee camps in the colones, and Zuko uses his past experience with being a refugee himself to explain why they are so important.
Rewatching Zuko Alone made me think about how useful his experience living in the Earth Kingdom as a war refugee would be to his leadership, and this is a short story about that.

"Anya," Shane said. The firm voice. The one that meant sit, wait, leave it. "Easy."
She did not sit.
She did not leave it.
She knew what leave it meant. She had left many things in her life—shoes, food on low tables, interesting dead things on walks, and she had done so because the rules were the rules and she was a creature who respected them. This was different. Leave it applied to objects.
This was a breach of territory. This was a matter of pack safety.
The rules, she felt certain, had not accounted for this.
Post-TLG: Five times Anya battled to protect her pack, and one time she simply stood watch (like the good girl she is).

Red raised his eyebrows. “Weird like how? Rozanov’s got a mouth on him, gets into it with a lot of guys. I gotta tell him to cool it all the time.”
“Not weird like chirping, not with Hollander. Weird like flirting.”
Or, Shane and Ilya believe that they have done a good job keeping their relationship a secret. They forgot about some key people: a group of perceptive, extremely foulmouthed, and surprisingly wholesome MLH linesmen who have witnessed their flirtatious faceoff interactions.
