Somewhere in the trailer, the phone rings.
He lets it.
It rings again.
And again.
And fucking again, and he drags himself out of bed with a string of muffled curses, curving an arm around his stomach and hobbling into the kitchen, yanking the phone off the receiver.
“Fucking what?!” He snarls, and for one too-long moment, there’s silence.
And then–
“Is that how you greet everybody?”
Eddie freezes. Pulls the phone away from his body to stare at it, like it’ll make more sense if he can see it. Tucks it cautiously back against his ear.
“Harrington?”

Or, after the events of s4, the world is saved and the boys are quarantined in their homes. To stave off the loneliness and boredom, they start talking to each other over the phone.

Summary
Eddie’s face goes soft and sweet, eyes all gooey like melted chocolate and it makes Steve’s heart flutter in his chest.
He smiles fondly, narrowly resisting the urge to kiss him, and lets his own chilly fingers slip underneath Eddie’s jacket instead, pressing his palm flat over warm skin.
Eddie hums a noise of discontent, muscles tensing beneath Steve’s touch and Steve doesn’t get why, not at first, because Eddie is touchy.
He doesn’t get it, not until he notices eyes on them, heavy and suspicious, and his heartbeat rockets up, pounding against his ribs like it’s trying to break free.
“WEDGIE!” Steve shouts, panicked, and fists his fingers in the waistband of Eddie’s boxers before yanking.

Or, 3 times Steve gets touchy with his boyfriend in public and has to cover for it, and 1 time he doesn’t.

Young-mi leaned her head back against the linoleum wall and sighed, her gaze never leaving Hyun-ju. “Unnie, I think you’re the most beautiful girl in the world.” Her voice was barely above a whisper.
She spoke with a certain earnestness that caused Hyun-ju’s throat to tighten up. Maybe the younger girl was only saying such things out of pity, but something in her eyes made Hyun-ju believe her. Here, there was a new unspoken set of values. Here, time itself took on a new dimension. With every second their lives hung in balance, every moment weighed down with the underlying realization that it could be their last. All they had in here was honesty, in other words the certainty that they had nothing left to lose.
