Hyeonjun isn’t exactly surprised to hear Doran’s joining the team.
It does, however, surprise Hyeonjun to learn that Doran’s an omega.
It’s not like Hyeonjun is some awkward teenaged alpha who doesn’t know how to act around omegas. His family has never been all traditional about it like Minhyung’s is. He’s never done something for an omega that he wouldn’t for anyone else, never treated anyone different because of their secondary gender.
Somehow, Doran is different.

But before she understood what was happening, the world tilted sideways and the cavern lights blurred into streaks. For one impossible moment she was weightless – suspended above the ground.
Lune hit the liquid stomach brine with a force that drove the air from her lungs in a single violent burst. The substance closed around her instantly; warm, viscous, thick enough that it clung to her limbs as she sank. The texture was like cooking oil mixed with mucus, like something half-alive trying to pull her deeper.
The brine forced itself against her mouth, seeped into the corners of her eyes, clawed into the grooves where pictos had overextended and bled.
She twisted, arms flailing for anything solid. Her legs scraped against slick muscle and found no traction. The water dragged at her clothing, at her hair, at her limbs, pulling her down and a hand collided with her back.
Then an arm wrapped around her ribs.
A chest pressed against her shoulder.
“Got you,” Verso’s voice, low and steady, came out of the darkness, distorted by the wet echo of their surroundings. His grip was firm, anchoring her as the two of them were jostled by the slow, rhythmic contractions of the bourgeon’s stomach.Series

Summary
Mydei leans away from the dromas at the sight of him. He looks the same as he always does: scowl in place, dressed and armored in Kremnoan attire. Yet in Phainon’s preheat vision, Mydei is achingly handsome—sleek lines, sharp angles, and a ruggedness from years on the battlefield.
Phainon’s thighs grow wet.
“What took you so long?” Mydei snaps. “We’re heading to a negotiation, not a field trip. No need to bring all your outfits."
“What if I want to impress the stakeholder?” Phainon jests, adjusting his tunic to hide his lower torso. He falters, however, when he notices Mydei’s sharp hazel eyes fixed on the slick staining his front. For a moment, Phainon feels raw and exposed, shame creeping up his neck. Mydei’s breathing pauses, the pace slowing to something deeper and more indulgent, before he looks away.
“We have a long journey ahead,” Mydei murmurs. “Pace yourself.”
Phainon sets out on a mission with Mydei, determined to maintain the facade of being a beta despite his preheat. But then his full-blown heat strikes at the worst possible time.
Mydei takes care of him.
